Syfy Will Pay Tribute To Leonard Nimoy With A Five-Hour Programming Block On Sunday

After hearing about the death of icon and all-round awesome human being Leonard Nimoy, you may have felt like delving into some of the man’s classic work. Sometimes that’s easier said than done, however. Where did you leave those Star Trek box sets? Where are the cables for the DVD player? It can be enough to test your Vulcan-like tranquility.

Well, Syfy is here to make things a little easier on you. This Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., they’ll be running a five-hour Leonard Nimoy tribute. Here’s what’s on the docket:

9 a.m. – The Twilight Zone: ”A Quality of Mercy”
9:30 a.m. – Star Trek: The Next Generation: ”Unification: Part I”
10:30 a.m. – Star Trek: The Next Generation: ”Unification: Part 2”
11:30 a.m. – Star Trek 6: The Undiscovered Country

Some good stuff in there to be sure, although it is somewhat odd that they didn’t include any Star Trek: The Original Series episodes. I suppose picking just one or two episodes might be tough since Nimoy was a standout in almost all of them.

Also, this should air during every commercial break…
