With Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice looming, stars Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill have been fielding plenty of questions about who will win their epic throwdown. The last time Cavill answered the #WhoWillWin question, he seemed pretty damn confident of his chances, but on this weekend’s Oscars red carpet, Cavill admitted ol’ Pointy Ears might have an advantage over him.
“We have to consider Superman’s approach to everything. Superman loves humanity, he loves human beings, and he doesn’t want to hurt them. And so, Batman has an immediate advantage with that, and you’ll see if he uses it.”
Hey, Batman likes humans, too! Just not the criminals. Or folks he suspects might be criminals. Or most of the Robins. Or anybody who cuts the Batmobile off in traffic. Well, okay, he hates everybody but Alfred, but dammit, he really likes Alfred.
During the same interview, Cavill also confirmed he’s seen the Justice League script, but obviously couldn’t provide any specific details. He does seem excited, though.
“The DC cinematic universe is finally getting its chance to grow in this one, and I think all the characters are fantastic. I’m looking forward to that whole gig.”
Batman totally kicks Superman’s ass when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters March 25.
