We know what Elektra looks like in her street clothes, and we know from the first part of Daredevil‘s two-part season two trailer that Matt is conflicted about seeing her. But we don’t know what she looks like in her day job as an assassin, until now, that is.
The above video, another motion poster for the series, shows Elektra in full assassin garb, and it’s an almost total change from her look in the comics. Most prominently, her trademark headscarf and oddly skimpy red suit are gone, replaced with a facemask under a black suit. One thing that hasn’t changed, though, is her preferred weapon, as she’s still toting some sai and still knows how to use them.
Also interesting is who she happens to be using those sai on, a bunch of mooks in suits with Uzis. While it’s clear the series is going to feature the Punisher and Elektra prominently, this hints that there’s another antagonist, waiting in the wings, or possibly that the Hand, represented by Nobu in the first season, are sending Elektra in to deal with some of their rival gangs. We’ll find out soon enough, as the second season of Daredevil arrives March 18.
