“Torchwood” fans — and we know you’re out there — rejoice! The show’s third series is coming to BBC America this summer and the cable network has just released the first teaser trailer.

Titled “Torchwood: Children of Earth,” the five-episode miniseries will air concurrently on BBC America and BBC One this July.

The trailer, which features plenty of your favorite “Torchwood” characters, plus some fresh faces, relies on something that creative people have recognized from Dickens to Pink Floyd to the “Midwitch Cuckoos” – British school children are disturbing and not just because they aren’t entitled to pudding if they don’t finish their meat.

And it isn’t just British children. It’s children around the world. Who, exactly, is coming? And what can John Barrowman’s Captain Jack, Eve Myles’ Gwen Cooper and Gareth David-Lloyd’s Ianto Jones do to save the world?

Check out the trailer and get pumped…

“Torchwood: Children of Earth” premieres on BBC America in July.
