Between his prior comments on the subject and rumors regarding Steven Spielberg’s involvement, all signs point to the possibility of Chris Pratt becoming the new Indiana Jones. Most seem open to the idea, except for the Donald, but it’s all just Hollywood speculation. During the Oscars red carpet on Sunday, Pratt decided to set the record straight with MTV:

Pratt made this fact abundantly clear when speaking with MTV on the Oscars red carpet, saying: “It’s all nothing until it’s something, and so far? It’s not something.”

Between the Parks and Recreation star’s action-oriented stints as a gun-toting human with a penchant for classic pop hits and a dinosaur circus trainer, brandishing the hat and the whip wouldn’t be too much of a stretch. Naysayers aside, the possibility of seeing Burt Macklin run away from spherical boulders makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Besides, Pratt can play I’m-being-sneaky-while-stealing-treasure really, really well.
