‘Star Wars’ Shows Off The Dark Side In This Special Thanksgiving Trailer For ‘The Force Awakens’

This Thanksgiving, let’s all be thankful that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is less than a month away from public consumption and that as the date draws near, more trailers are slowly coming out of the woodwork. Today, a new trailer was released that is more focused on The New Order and the threat from the Dark Side than any trailers that we’ve seen so far.

The new look includes shots of Gwendoline Christie in action as Captain Phasma and more of an emphasis on the exact damage that The New Order is inflicting upon anyone that crosses their path. The trailer also includes Finn telling someone (who is not shown), “You don’t know what I’ve seen. We all need to run.”

Perhaps the most important bit in the trailer is the inclusion of more Han Solo and Chewbacca. The scoundrel and the Wookie are featured rather prominently as they stand side by side in battle, and as The Millennium Falcon is shown in other battle sequences. As December 18th gets even closer, this trailer shows that the stakes have never been higher and that this film may indeed be the film that fans have been pining for since 1983’s Return of the Jedi.

And best of all…there’s not a Jar Jar sighting at all. If there was something to be thankful for today, it would be that.
