‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Has An International Trailer And Some Funny Easter Eggs

Thursday night, the first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming premiered on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where Spider-Man star Tom Holland also led a group of costumed Spider-Men on a “running of the Spider-Men”, but they sadly didn’t see how many of them could fit in a Jamba Juice. Total missed opportunity there.

Marvel also released a shorter, international trailer (video above) with a bit of a darker tone, some new footage, and fewer scenes of Spider-Man’s school life.

We’d also be remiss if we didn’t point out a few interesting Easter eggs in the first trailer, like an unexpected appearance from Dr. Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) in Parker’s classroom:

Because when we think “greatest scientists throughout history” we think Charles Darwin, Galileo Galilei, Albert Einstein, Niels Bohr, Nikola Tesla, Marie Curie, and that guy who punches holes in buildings when he gets a hangnail.

Tony Stark’s late father, Howard, also makes a cameo via a mural at Parker’s school:

But the Easter egg we really need explained is why Peter Parker has the same shirt Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) wore to bed with Tony Stark in Iron Man 3.

That’s a SnorgTees shirt that says “I lost an electron!” / “Are you positive?” Of course, this will lead to plenty of jokes that Parker and Potts hooked up and Parker wore her shirt home, but the color and style of the shirts appear to be different. It better not be Potts’ shirt anyway. Parker needs to heed that warning about not doing what Stark does.
