The Outkast 'Reunion' Finally Happened, In A Remix Of A Frank Ocean Song

Frank Ocean wanted both members of Outkast, Big Boi and André 3000, to appear on channel ORANGE’s “Pink Matter,” marking the first time Chico Dusty and Cupid Valentino would have appeared in the same song together since 2010. André scrapped the plans at the last second, though, because according to Big Boi, “[He] didn’t want an Outkast Record Coming out on anybody else LP.” But NME adds:

The original version of the song, which appeared on Ocean’s critically acclaimed album channel ORANGE, featured a contribution from Andre 3000, but it was was revealed earlier this month that Big Boi had been working on a remix of the track after he postured a picture of the lyrics he was writing online.
