Justin Bieber Wants You To Stop Begging For Selfies

Justin Bieber sent a series of Snapchats to his fans to properly define selfie etiquette.

The “What Do You Mean?” singer told fans that there are going to be times when he doesn’t want to take a photo and that screaming at him isn’t going to make him want to take a photo any more.

“The way you ask or approach me when you want a photo with me is going determine if I take a photo or not. If I’m walking somewhere or arriving somewhere and you guys are asking me to take a photo, if I don’t respond, if I continue to keep walking, the likelihood is that I probably don’t want to take a photo at that moment. If you start screaming louder, that’s not going to make me want to take a photo more.”

Bieber added fans should respect him enough to “treat [him] the way you want to be treated.”

Bieber also brushed off that well-worn gem that the anti-selfie/Put Your D*mn Phone Away crowd has been spouting for quite a while: be in the moment. The pop star said he’d much rather have a conversation with a fan than take a photo.

“Honestly I’d rather stand there and talk to you for five minutes and not take any photos… just have that moment without the chaos. It’s like, why did you travel to see me in the first place, was it really to see me or was it to get that moment of you seeing me so you could tell people about it?”

This is going to hurt but here goes: Justin…Bieber…is…right? Of course, it’s becoming easier to agree with him.
