This Supercut Of Iconic Movie Characters Singing Adele’s ‘Hello’ Will Bring You To Tears

Adele has had an incredible few months since the release of her smash hit single, “Hello,” and her even bigger album, 25. She’s performed on Saturday Night Live, shattered NSYNC’s long standing album sales record, and had artists like Drake and Lionel Richie, just to name a few, clamoring to record songs with the star.

As one of the biggest songs of the year, “Hello” is quickly becoming a cultural phenomenon with countless covers popping up all over the place. Because most of the ways to recreate the song have been done in the short time since its release, people have had to get more creative to make a version of the track that’s unique, and “Hello By The Movies” can only be described as such.

Using films such as Rainman, Rocky, Beauty and the Beast, Star WarsFear and Loathing In Las Vegas and Anchorman among many others, YouTube user Matthijs Vlot has taken small clips containing a few words that match Adele’s lyrics and to create this pretty great supercut. The video, backed by the Hello instrumental, surprisingly strikes a similar melancholy tone as the original track.

“Hello By The Movies” may not be as polished as the original track, but there’s nothing like hearing Borat, C3PO, and Luke Skywalker say “Hello,” in the track’s cadence instead of Adele. This video may make you laugh or cry, which is one more option than Adele gave us.
