Macklemore Will Crash Your Wedding (If His Mom Wants Him To)

Macklemore is a pretty big deal, like “meeting with President Barack Obama to have discussions about drug addiction” big. But that doesn’t mean the rapper is above crashing a wedding, all he needs is his mom to give him a little nudge.

The “Downtown” rapper most famous for snatching the Grammy out of Kendrick Lamar’s hands and just mackling all over the godd*mn place documented his mom-inspired wedding crashing on his own Snapchat, while the wedding attendees shared videos of their own on Twitter.

True to form, Ryan Lewis was nowhere to be seen at the wedding crashing. I bet he didn’t even get a text.

At a much more prestigious (but presumably less turnt) event earlier in the week, Macklemore discussed opioid addiction with POTUS and revealed his own ties to the problem. The rapper has struggled with opioid addiction in the past and thinks that the United States will have to push past its idea of drug addiction as a moral failure before we can work to address the opioid epidemic.

“Addiction isn’t a personal choice or a personal failing, and sometimes it takes more than a strong will to get better,” he said. “It takes a strong community and accessible resources.”
