Sharon Van Etten’s greatest strengths are playing beautiful music and making people cry, and she did both at the same time when she played “Tarifa” for New Zealand newscaster John Campbell earlier today. He’s a huge fan of Van Etten’s music, but wasn’t able to make her concert. So his Campbell Live co-workers surprised him by bringing her onto the show and having her perform.
It doesn’t take long for the tears to come, which could also be the name of Sharon’s next album.
