Can The Weeknd Sound Any More Like Michael Jackson On ‘I Feel It Coming’?

The Weeknd unleashed not one, but two brand new singles while you were blissfully sleeping Thursday night and one of them may as well have said “featuring Michael Jackson.” I am of the opinion that there was no way the King of Pop’s ghost wasn’t in the studio when Abel got in the booth and recorded “I Feel It Coming.”

The Starboy’s vocals on the Daft Punk-produced track are so similar to Jackson’s that it’s almost frustrating to think of what could’ve been if Jackson hadn’t passed away in 2009. Nevertheless, like “I Can’t Feel My Face,” “Coming” is a straight up dance jam perfect for your weak attempts at recreating MJ’s footwork in the comfort of your bathroom.

The second song, “Party Monster,” is exactly what the title implies — Abel waxing beautifully about drinking, coke-sniffing and waking up next to nameless girls with all of it wrapped together by a thumping club beat. The single also features Beauty Behind The Madness‘ collaborator Lana Del Rey.

The Weeknd’s Starboy lands everywhere November 25th. The album boasts a whopping 18 tracks and includes contributions from Kendrick Lamar, Daft Punk, Future and Del Ray. Starboy: Legend of the Fall 2017 World Tour also kicks off in Sweden February 2017. For now, The Weeknd will be performing at the AMAs going down this Sunday.
