50 Cent Granted This WNBA Player’s Wish And Showed Up To Her Game, So She Responded With A Huge Win

When you have hits as massive as 50 Cent, you’re going to have fans in all shapes and sizes from all walks of life. As it turns out, one of 50’s biggest fans is a WNBA star with a famous big brother and a legendary mother. Chicago Sky rookie center Imani Boyette was the 10th overall pick in April’s WNBA draft and within a month she began a social media campaign to get 50 out to one of her games.

Now, Imani, daughter of Women’s Basketball Hall of Famer Pamela McGee and sister to NBA player JaVale McGee, is no regular 50 Cent fan. She’s more of a fanatic, whose fandom stretches all the way back one very specific moment of her childhood.

And when Imani got married to Texas Longhorn defensive tackle Paul Boyette Jr, the couple’s first dance was to 50’s “Best Friend,” naturally.

Her social media campaign took a little longer than a month before Curtis eventually took notice, and confirmed he would attend one of Imani’s games when he got the chance. “Imani, I’m coming to see you play soon as I can,” he said on Instagram. “I just have to check when you’re playing so I can fly in.”

It took a while but Tuesday night, 50 finally caught Imani and the playoff-bound Sky on the perfect night, as they upset No.1 seed and defending WNBA Champions the Minnesota Lynx. The pair finally met, and 50 seemed more than impressed with the experience, saying “Man she blocked a shot in overtime, I said ‘oh sh*t !!!’ Lmao,” in one Instagram post and calling the Sky’s victory a “great game” in another.

And that “Oh sh*t!” block in overtime? It was incredible. The swat happened with just 8.5 seconds left in the game and basically sealed the win for the Sky.

And obviously, Fif’ had great seats to catch all the action.

When the buzzer sounded and the Sky had the victory, Imani had 50 waiting for her with a big ol’ hug.
