There are musical moments that you never even thought about existing that somehow happen and change your life. Drake’s “Controlla” is undeniably a hit, and will likely hit no. 1 on Billboard in the coming weeks, but imagine how much better it could be with an assist from Young Thug. Wonder no more as a remix to the song popped up on YouTube today and we owe thanks to a rapper named Twice.
The origins of the remix are unknown. It’s clear that Thug’s portion is new, but doing a bit of research on Twice shows that he doesn’t have a heavy digital footprint and no apparent ties to Thug. Whether an official release or not, Young Thug on “Controlla” is a great combination for his style of singing. Also, Thugger’s honesty might be going a little bit too far with this line: “I’m on Cleveland like Kyrie Irving, first place where I caught my first STD.” Yikes.
