When the Cowboys cut Adam “Pacman” Jones earlier this year, no one was sure who–if anyone–would be willing to take the sloppy thirds of the former Dallas Cowboys cornerback. However, one possible team presented itself over the weekend–the Dallas Cowboys. Yep. From the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram:
ASYLUM POLL: Whose return is more ridiculous: Pacman’s or Plaxico’s?
A giddy Jerry Jones, reached in his private suite after the George Strait concert Saturday night to open the new Cowboys Stadium, asked a reporter, “Would you beat me up too bad if I brought back Adam?”
The Cowboys’ owner said he is considering the move even though it’s a long shot.
Pacman’s agent said that “several teams” are interested, but mentioned that he had not spoken to the Cowboys. The Bengals, for the record, used first-round picks in 2006 and 2007 to bring in cornerbacks Jonathan Joseph and Leon Hall, respectively. Of course, that means nothing to a team that can bring in a guy charged with assault, accessory to murder, and a pro wrestling resume. No wonder Jerry Jones seems so eager to lock that down.
