Two Ohio State Football Players Made A Perfect ‘Cribs’ Spoof In Their Apartment

MTV’s Cribs, which began airing in the year 2000 (and still is airing on CMT, but now with NASCAR drivers?), was the perfect afternoon show for tweens and teens everywhere in the early and mid-2000s, who could kick back and get a peek inside the luxurious lifestyles of their favorite musicians, athletes and actors.

While no episode can ever match the 2001 appearance of Redman, two Ohio State linebackers, Joe Burger and Craig Fada, gave it their best shot in this pretty hilarious spoof put up on the team’s YouTube page. The two Buckeyes gave a complete tour of their very “college” dorm room complete with a strobe light, a drawer full of just tanks, and a shoe collection that included several pairs of Sperrys.

Other highlights include the spot-on camera work, the use of music samples like “Lean Back,” “Ridin’ Dirty,” “It’s Goin’ Down” and, my personal favorite, Avril Lavigne’s “Complicated,” and the emphasis on their “whips,” which are really just random people’s cars in the school’s parking garage.

Between this, and OSU scaring the life out of their teammates with a mannequin, the defending National Champions and pre-season No. 1 team in the country appear to be enjoying themselves as they prepare to defend their crown this upcoming season.
