NFL Komissar Herr Roger Goodell isn't content just taking away the effect of home crowds or moving regular season games overseas — he's also thinking of taking the Super Bowl international.
"There's a great deal of interest in holding a Super Bowl in London," Goodell told reporters Monday. "So we'll be looking at that." The commissioner said London's new Wembley Stadium would make a great candidate for pro football's biggest matchup, given the enthusiasm overseas for the game.
You know where else there's a lot of enthusiasm for the game? Fucking AMERICA, dickhead. It's already hard enough for most die-hard fans to drop everything less than two weeks before the game to make travel plans to when they find out their team is in the big game. And that's to travel to another destination in America.
But no, this is a great idea. It's awesome that eventually only the fabulously wealthy will be able to attend NFL games. Rich people tend to be so much cleaner and more polite. Me, I've always loved football but hated how the fan experience wasn't similar enough to a polo match. "Smashing polka dot dress, Buffy. Is that Donna Karan? I'm hoping her spring line can carry my fantasy fashion team."
