Get Your First Look At The Los Angeles Rams With This ‘Hard Knocks’ Trailer

The Rams were the story of the NFL offseason this year when they picked up stakes and headed west like a modern-day Grapes of Wrath, as owner and mustache-comb expert Stan Kroenke wanted more money for a new stadium than the citizens of St. Louis were willing to provide.

Of course, the NFL would never let a team move without focusing all of its efforts on re-branding the new/old franchise, and so this summer will see HBO Films cover the Rams in their annual Hard Knocks miniseries, which details the ins-and-outs of an NFL team as they prepare for a new season.

And, man, it’s fun to hate on the NFL and all its brand-consciousness, but damn, even footage of a dude unlocking a moving truck seem cool as all hell in slow-motion and with a soundtrack.

Usually the Hard Knocks crews focus on a few rookies to mix up the coverage of more famous veterans, but this year the biggest story will be a rookie, as the Rams selected Cal quarterback Jared Goff with the No. 1 pick in the draft.

While Goff won’t be the typical rookie who gets cut on the last day of training camp and exits the scene to heartbreaking music, it will be interesting to see how the Rams bring him along and whether they slot him in for a starting role in Week One.

You can hate the league all you want for taking a beloved team from St. Louis, but the NFL is pretty sure you’ll still watch a summer’s worth of storylines when they’re packaged like this. And, yeah, they’re probably right.
