Woo-hoo! The countdown to the long-awaited Season 4 of “Breaking Bad” (ten more days!) continues today with this extended trailer. It seems to be tailored to people who missed some or all of the first three seasons, focusing on plot synthesis back to the first episode when Walter White (Bryan Cranston) was still an ordinary chemistry teacher with a full head of hair.
When it finally gets to what’s coming in the new season, the message matches what showrunner Vince Gilligan has been promising: that Walter falls deeper into criminal activity and (maybe) even villainy. The trailer ends by hinting that he’s going to kill drug kingpin Gustavo Fring, but that seems like too big of a spoiler to put into a preview. I guess we’ll see. TEN DAYS, PEOPLE! Make sure you have enough bottled water and canned food, plus a backup generator. The best way you can spend the next week and a half is by staying inside and rewatching the first three seasons.
