Weekend Preview: ‘FNL’ Finale, ‘Breaking Bad’ Premiere

Friday Night Lights (NBC, Friday) — Series finale. Now that it’s over, I promise to finally watch the entire series. Probably won’t happen ’til next winter, though. I’m pretty busy right now. *scrolls through Tumblr for two hours*

Breaking Bad (AMC, Sunday) — Season premiere. After a preposterously long 13-month wait since Season 3 ended, Season 4 finally debuts Sunday night, and the early buzz is that it doesn’t disappoint. I’ll put up an open thread before the episode airs so fans can discuss it Sunday night and Monday morning.

True Blood (HBO, Sunday) — I haven’t watched an episode since the season premiere. I feel like I should get caught up with On Demand, but it’s supposed to be nice outside this weekend, so probably not. Seriously, I’m horrible at watching TV. Who gave me this job?

News (Various, all weekend) — I might actually turn on CNN to see if I can catch some coverage of #CARMAGEDDON — the impending traffic disaster that will be this weekend’s closure of the 405 freeway in Los Angeles.

My Strange Addiction (TLC, Sunday) — Season premiere. From Yahoo: “The premiere introduces us to Teresa, who keeps dozens of hairless rats in her home as pets, and Jazz, who has grown her fingernails out to an astounding 19 feet long. In other words, don’t plan to eat while watching this.” The lesson: Don’t name your children “Jazz.”
