Weekend Preview: Will This Be ‘The Walking Dead’s’ Battle Of Blackwater?

NCAA College Basketball (CBS & TNT, All Damn Weekend) — Many of you will stop caring by Saturday night, once your brackets have been completely busted. Others aren’t budging from their couches the entire damn weekend. Still others are in Vegas, and will wake up in gutters Monday morning. If a man in a black panel van tells you he has a shower inside, GO WITH HIM.

Grimm (NBC, Friday 9 p.m.) — In tonight’s episode, the monster-of-the-week feeds off of his victim’s tears. Ironically, so does March Madness. Muahahahahahaha.

Vikings (History, Sunday 10 p.m.) — I’ve watched the first two episodes of this series, and it is decidedly OK. Not really good enough to get worked up over, but not bad enough to completely ignore. In other words, it’s the perfect show for DVR hoarders. Episodes will probably accumulate on that thing for weeks, especially once Mad Men and Game of Thrones arrive.

The Walking Dead (AMC, Sunday 9 p.m.) — I’m calling it: This will be the best episode of the season. Directed by Greg Nicotero and written by next year’s showrunner, Scott Gimple, I think it’s going to be The Walking Dead’s Battle of Blackwater. Prediction: Andrea survives, but Milton does not. BOOO.

Bob’s Burgers (Fox, Sunday 8:30) — If you haven’t jumped in yet, my colleagues over on Pajiba offer some a few helpful entry point episodes for Bob’s Burgers and eight other series.

Shameless (Showtime, Sunday 9 p.m.) — If you still need a reason to watch, try out this plotline: One guy, who makes a living filming fetish porn for the web with his girlfriend who is barren, is trying to get his girlfriend’s MOTHER pregnant so they can have a child. The catch? The mother is developing a booty-call addiction. That’s the most functional storyline.
