Nathan For You (Comedy Central, 10:30 p.m.) – Are you guys watching Nathan For You? You should really be watching Nathan For You. It’s awkward, strange, and kind of perfect. Every episode has made me laugh out loud more than once. Clip below. Trust me on this one.
Community/Parks & Rec (NBC, 8 p.m.) – Both shows are back tonight with new episodes. On Community, Britta organizes a Sophie B. Hawkins dance to protest Greendale’s Sadie Hawkins dance, and on Parks, Leslie goes to visit Ben’s hometown in Minnesota. I was in Minnesota once. I got very drunk and stumbled around downtown Minneapolis asking people if they knew Gordon Bombay. I imagine tonight’s episode will follow a similar plot.
New Girl (Fox, 9 p.m.) – SPECIAL NIGHT. From TV Guide: “Jess and Nick attempt to break out of relationship limbo by going on a date. But when Schmidt and Winston catch wind of their plans, they try to sabotage the romantic outing.” Do you think their sabotage will involve a catapult? I hope it does.
Hannibal (NBC, 10 p.m.) – Series premiere. Critics have been all over the place on the new drama from Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies), starring Mads Mikkelson as Hannibal Lecter. Some liked it, some hated it, etc. One thing they all agreed on, though? SO MUCH GORE AND VIOLENCE.
Archer (FX, 10 p.m.) – Part 1 of the two-part season finale. I accidentally typed “series finale” on my first pass through this post. Then when I circled back to it I deleted “series” as fast as I could, as though if someone at FX had seen my typo, they would have thought I was correct and canceled the show. Can’t be too careful.
Men at Work (TBS, 10 p.m.) – Season premiere. This show is basically Franklin & Bash with twice as many bros, none of the tongue-in-cheek charm, and no Zack Morris. Soooooo, there’s that.
LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Patrick Dempsey and Goran Visnijc on Kimmel; Martin Short and Tyler, the Creator on Letterman; Eva Longoria and Terry Crews on Leno; Melissa McCarthy and Chris Jericho on Fallon; and Charles Barkley on Conan.
