In terms of great lines, “Heavy Petting” — the latest episode of FX’s The League — wasn’t one of the best, but you do have to appreciate how well they played the long game to get to the crown jewel of the episode: A rape van joke. What must it look like in the writers’ room for The League every week, anyway?

“Hey, what do you think we should make this episode about? Trade rapes? AIDS? Oh, I know! How about a rape van?”
