What’s On Tonight (And Tomorrow): Movies, Football, Parades, And Marathons

Production note: We’re off tomorrow and on light-duty on Friday. TV Guide has a nice rundown of all the non-football, non-parade highlights and marathons over the long weekend. You can watch all the MST3K your little heart desires. I’ll be watching James Bond judo chop well-dressed sociopaths. Thanksgiving is a special time.

Gone With The Wind (AMC, 8:00 p.m.) – Hey, speaking of well-dressed sociopaths, AMC is running this movie on Thanksgiving Eve again this year. Nothing like a light, fun tale about ruined families, marital rape, and dead children to lead into the holiday, that’s what I always say.

Saturday Night Live Thanksgiving (NBC, 9:00 p.m.) – A two-hour collection of SNL‘s noted Turkey Day sketches. I hope they throw in “Red Ships of Spain,” just because.

Highlander (BBC America, 9:00 p.m.) – I mention movie this because (a) it is great and nothing else is on, and (b) it gives me an excuse to remind you that Nick Offerman once booked an entire screening room just for him and Chris Pratt because he found out Pratt had never seen this movie, and he found that unacceptable.

The Soup/Burning Love (E!, 10-11:00 p.m.) – The best hour of E!’s schedule by so far that the second best hour would need a map, a month’s rations, and a wise sherpa to even have a chance at finding it.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYBODY!
