This Week’s ‘Banshee’ Leaves Everyone Hanging On

This week’s Banshee was a bit calmer than the premiere. There was only a failed home invasion, a drug dealer meeting gone bad, two other notable ass-kickings, and a bit of a cliffhanger at the end. Let’s get into it.

We learned some more about Col. Douglas Stow. How he’s a lover…

a fighter…

and how his multiple naval tours, Black Ops missions, and the security of his embezzled $4 mill make him “the guy they send in to clean out all the other bad motherf*ckers.” But now that he’s a target, Carrie had to cut him loose. Err, the children, she’s thinking of her children.

Kai’s got his own issues. It turns out his sweet innocent niece might not be so innocent, what with her kneecapping and killing other drug dealers for mouthing off.

Also Burton was there. It’s never a good idea to count him out.

The troubles don’t end there for Proctor, as the Red Bones planned on doing some home invading that evening. Some people don’t like having sex before a big event, but Chayton takes a different approach.

Unfortunately for the guys actually invading Kai’s spot, they weren’t ready for Burton.

And despite all that, Kai felt it best to keep his ailing mother in his house full time. As if sleeping with your niece wasn’t awkward enough.

In an effort to investigate the Red Bone raiders, Raven gives Hood a tour of the reservation. Some trouble brews, but they’re saved by Raven’s old co-worker, Aimee, who’s already prepared for everyone’s naughty googling.

After disagreeing with Chayton’s approach to killing Kai, Nola goes on her own and quickly makes friends with Carrie…

This altercation with the disrespectful patrons from last week probably helped.

Soon after Deva stormed out of Hood’s place, we got this final scene:

WHO’S HOLDING THE GUN? IS IT A RED BONE? DO THEY HAVE DEVA? ARE THEY HOLDING HOOD AND HIS KID AT GUNPONT? WHY DOES CHAYTON ALWAYS GO AFTER THE LOVED ONES?

I mean, um, this is quite the conundrum, and dammit that’s where the episode ends. Looks like next week is gonna get real serious real quick.
