What’s On Tonight: Oliver’s Back In Town For A Huge Brawl On ‘Arrow’

Arrow
(CW, 8:00 p.m.) — Oliver returns to Starling to put a stop to Brick (Vinnie Jones) and lead Team Arrow (and possibly Malcolm) in an epic street brawl. It’s kind of surprising that the producers have kept Oliver out of Starling for even two episodes, but the show didn’t really suffer in the meantime and that’s a testament to Arrow‘s strong ensemble and diverse storytelling.

Fresh Off The Boat (ABC, 8:30 and 9:30 p.m.) — I’m not terribly interested in another coming-of-age sitcom and I don’t know much about Eddie Huang, the man whose childhood this show is loosely based. What I do know is that Randall Park stole The Interview from Seth Rogen and James Franco with his portrayal of Kim Jong-un, so I’m gonna watch this and wait for more amazement… for a little while, at least. I have a really short attention span.

The 100 (CW, 9:00 p.m.) — Mother and daughter (Abby and Clarke) face off in a power struggle. Who will win? Watch the TV show, I ain’t no seer!

Empire (FOX, 9:00 p.m.) — Cookie gets a gift (cause Cookie is fabulous) but she is worried that it might be from an enemy (because Cookie is fierce). Also, Lucious produces Hakeem’s first music video even though Cookie would do a better job (because Cookie is also Hype Williams).

The Americans (FX, 10:00 p.m.) — A mission breaks bad, forcing Philip and Elizabeth to come together despite their differences. I still can’t believe that all of this turmoil started because Philip taped over an episode of Spenser for Hire that Elizabeth was looking forward to. Seriously, I need to start watching this show.

Nashville (ABC, 10:00 p.m.) — Rayna deals with the fallout after she calls off her wedding to Luke, Juliette struggles to adjust to couplehood, and Gunnar’s family drama comes to a head in the Nashville mid-season premiere. This show, I watch. I’ll take all of your judgement and eat it like spinach to make me stronger.

Workaholics (Comedy Central, 10:00 p.m.) — Adam and Ders kick Blake out of their band.

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia (FXX, 10:00 p.m.) — An impromptu health inspection sends Charlie into a panic as he must clear out a bar full of chickens and various other un-clean things before Paddy’s Pub gets shut down.

Broad City (Comedy Central, 10:30 p.m.) — Curb Your Enthusiasm‘s Susie Essman stops by to play Ilana’s grieving and discount handbag obsessed mom.

Man Seeking Woman (FXX, 10:30 p.m.) — Josh’s voyage through singledom is interrupted by his families want for him to settle down.

LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Jeff Bridges and Lauren Cohan on Kimmel; Ryan Reynolds on Letterman; Andy Cohen joins John Mayer on The Late Late Show; best friends Vin Diesel and Carl Reiner on Fallon; Brian Williams and Gabrielle Union on Meyers; and Mila Kunis and Josh Hopkins on Conan.
