Weekend Preview: Dancing Dragons And Jon Snow’s Hellish Stories On ‘Game Of Thrones’

Game of Thrones (HBO, Sunday 9:00 p.m.) — Dany takes in the fights and Jon Snow goes back to The Wall, and OH, what stories he has to tell.

Here’s my caption of the above picture:

Sam: Jon, I’m a man. Gilly let me be with her in that way.

Jon: I saw a monsoon of bones pound the earth and then come to life, a running giant, and a zombie walk out of an inferno.

Sense8 (Netflix, Available Now) — Remember when The Wachowski’s could do no wrong? We’re a long way away from that and people seem to be giving this twisty Netflix original about eight people who share a mind meld a hard time. Should you listen to the naysayers or find out for yourself? I vote for the latter. At the very least, maybe it’ll be weird enough to make the journey worthwhile.

Orphan Black (BBC America, Saturday 9:00 p.m.) — According to the synopsis, Helena and Gracie team up with the Hendrixes. According to my imagination, two of the clones become Doublemint gum spokespeople and then everyone has a celebratory dance party. Which episode would you rather watch?

NBA Finals (ABC, Sunday 8:00 p.m.) — Can LeBron elevate the Cavs after their depleting overtime loss to the Warriors in game 1? Will Steph Curry make it rain? Will Chris Mullin’s short shorts be retired at halftime?

The Tony Awards (CBS, Sunday 8:00 p.m.) — See people you know from other things celebrate things you have no knowledge of if you don’t live within a 100-mile radius of New York City. And also, musical numbers with jazz hands!

Silicon Valley (HBO, Sunday 10:00 p.m.) — Things get closer to resolution for Hooli and Pied Piper as the two sides go to arbitration. Unsurprisingly, Erlich tries to place himself where he does not belong.

Veep (HBO, Sunday 10:30 p.m.) — It’s congressional testimony day for the Meyer White House, which is a bit different from Big Block of Cheese day at the Bartlett White House. Different administrations do things differently and all that. Also, the hill wants to know who to blame for the data breach. Let’s not point at Jonah all at once. Remember, if he gets indicted in the show world, we probably won’t have the joy of watching him get verbally slapped around anymore.

LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Amanda Seyfried, Marlon Wayans, and Jason Derulo on Fallon.
