Amy Schumer wasn’t the only Comedy Central employee to audition for The Daily Show, as this “secret” audition tape with Hannibal Buress will have you believe. In all likelihood, Buress would not have made a very good Daily Show host as he starts out the audition with: “Welcome to The Daily Show, this is Jon Stewart… Dammit, I f*cked that up!”
Of course, this is all just a promo for Why? With Hannibal Buress, which finally premieres Wednesday, July 8 at 10:30 p.m. following the Season 5 premiere of Key & Peele. I still have no idea what his new show is about, which doesn’t make me any less excited for it.
