Not only did Fear the Walking Dead premiere last night, but AMC also debuted a brand new clip and moody teaser for the upcoming season of The Walking Dead, its sixth. The 40 seconds of new footage aren’t the most exciting (the long gaps between sentences are True Detective-esque), but, hey, at least Sasha, who’s actually talking, is no longer the worst. Probably…?
Meanwhile, in the promo below, the main cast has a brief flicker of light wash over them, while the Phantoms’ appropriately melancholy “We Carry On” plays. Daryl, looks great. Carol, awesome. Rick, intense. But Carol/CORAL? No matter how hard The Walking Dead tries, they’ll never be able to make him look intimidating. He’s Wesley Crusher in a cowboy hat.
The Walking Dead season six, now with more Merritt Wever, returns on October 11.
