One of the fun reminders to be had from these recent GOP debates and polls is that people other than Donald Trump are running for president. Unfortunately for the other candidates, being able to make wisecracks like that tends to reflect poorly on their ability to stand out from the already crowded field. While that may ring especially true for the candidates polling at single digits, even the other front-runners face similar issues with Trump taking up so much of the coverage.
It’s that fact which fueled Jimmy Kimmel’s latest man on the street segment, where random folks are given three pictures and asked to choose the one of a Republican candidate. Believe it or not, there are people who couldn’t pick Marco Rubio, Mike Huckabee, or Carly Fiorina out of a lineup. There was also one person who was in disbelief that fictional President Grant of the television show Scandal was actually elected. It’s a disbelief shared by anyone who’s ever watched an episode of Scandal.
