Michael Keaton Provided A Simple Reason Why Batman Will Always Be Better Than Spider-Man

Michael Keaton is a delight at all points and this appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon is no different. Not only does he kick off his appearance by doing a dance that gives Sam Rockwell a run for his money, but he drops one of the better “I’m Batman” stories you’ll ever hear. It even includes quite the burn against Spider-Man — particularly The Amazing Spider-Man with his pal Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield.

It all revolves around Keaton taking his broken phone into one of these repair shops and running into a guy watching Spider-Man on TV. The guy did not notice who Keaton was, so he just started to chat him up about the movie and watch for a second, up to a point where Garfield bawls his eyes out. This prompts a classic response from Keaton that the folks at The Tonight Show had to bleep, all leading up to the ol’ Batman card:

“Batman never cried.”

Suck on that, Peter Parker. You have cried in far more films than Batman, and in less time. Tobey Maguire’s emo turn in Spider-Man 3 actually makes a lot of sense now. The dancing does not:
