Stephen Colbert Has Found Some Egg-cellent ‘Star Wars’ Product Placement

With a new Star Wars movie coming this year, there’s one thing that seems to overshadow people’s anticipation: product placement. Oh sure, action figures will be a thing, but there are so many more products out there that can be tied to a new movie, and Stephen Colbert was excited for the onslaught. After showing off the “Luke Skywalker Belt Kit” from his youth, Colbert played the ad for Cover Girl’s Star Wars-themed makeup line. Never has “the Light Side” and “the Dark Side” been so appropriate for a Star Wars promotion.

Or so I thought, until we were introduced to Star Wars eggs. With shells that look convincingly like Stormtroopers and the Death Star (and much less convincingly like Skywalker), you can recreate all of your favorite scenes from the movies. It’s the best way to be a part of the Rebel Alliance and have a balanced breakfast.
