Adam Sandler Helps Jimmy Fallon Perform A Spirited Song For The Troops

Since it is Fleet Week in New York, Jimmy Fallon invited members of the military into the studio for a very special taping of The Tonight Show. And to make it very special, Fallon has Adam Sandler on to talk his latest Netflix production and to sing a song for those in attendance.

“Friends on All Bases” is a parody of the Garth Brooks hit “Friends in Low Places” and it’s exactly what you think. There’s plenty of twang to go around, lots of positive talk about all the members of the military, and Old Glory flying in the background. Along with Jimmy Kimmel’s interview with Donald Trump on ABC, the entire late-night landscape is one big America fest on Wednesday night.

So yeah, the song is likely pretty cringeworthy on the base level, but at least it’s for a nice cause. If this was just a regular Fallon night, there might be plenty of reasons to groan and question your sanity for even clicking on such an article. But this has something special behind it, so it can get a bit of a pass.
