Ryan Murphy Reveals An ‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ Character Will Be Popping Up On ‘Roanoke’

This season of American Horror Story: Roanoke has already delivered connections to Freak Show by introducing us to the ancestor of Dandy Mott, as well as Coven, by showing us where the first ever Supreme came from. Additionally, both the whole Roanoke theme and “Piggyman” were teased all the way back in season one’s Murder House. And now, according to Ryan Murphy, this season will also tie into season’s two’s Asylum by having Sara Paulson’s “ultimate survivor” Lana Winters make an appearance before the end of the season.

Murphy tweeted the news out as a Halloween treat for fans this morning:

We can probably make an educated guess as to how Lana will work into this season. Given that we know this season is going to be split up into three parts and that only one character from the second part is going to survive, it would make sense that episode 10 would deal with the aftermath of the series of events for that one survivor. And since Lana Winters went on to become an author and journalist, it’s not hard to put together the pieces that she would ostensibly sit down for an interview with said survivor. And if that’s the case, we can assume Audrey (Paulson’s character) doesn’t make it out alive.

Damn, Ryan Murphy. Stop telling us stuff!

This news comes on the heels of Murphy announcing that he’s planning for an upcoming season of American Horror Story to be a crossover of Murder House and Coven. In other words, don’t expect these seasons to get any less incestuous anytime soon.
