Bindi Irwin has made it to the finale of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars and if you’ve seen her dance, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. The 17-year-old has proven that she has some serious talent as a dancer and she’s used her appearance on the show to pay tribute to her late father Steve Irwin, the “Crocodile Hunter.” And in addition to being a very emotional performer, ready to open herself and use her emotions to drive her dance, she also put her raw skill on display and earned the season’s first perfect 10 score.

Now she’s made it to the final round, and her freestyle dance with partner Derek Hough did not disappoint. With the song “Footprints in the Sand” as accompaniment, Irwin was totally in the zone with Hough, and it is really amazing to watch considering she’s not a professional dancer. But then, at the very end of the song, you can see what’s coming — another tribute to her father. And the way it’s executed is wordless, subtle, and devastating for anyone with a heart and working tear ducts. In fact, it might be worse for people without working tear ducts because if you can have some sort of emotional release after seeing this, that would really, really suck.

Bindi Irwin was crying. All the judges were crying. Bindi’s mother was crying, surrounded by an audience of crying people. Pretty sure Tom Bergeron was crying, too, because he’s a big ol’ teddy bear of a man. What I’m saying is that you need to know that because if all of that wasn’t enough, Bindi posted this on her Instagram account:

All the feelings you’re feeling are normal. And we should all be thankful that Bindi Irwin is the pure, good, amazing, and lovely person she is for taking our minds off this idiotic world for a little while.
