Laura Benanti’s Uncanny Melania Trump Swung By ‘Colbert’ Once Again And It Was Awesome

We’ve heard Melania Trump speak out about her husband’s “locker room talk” and the Machiavellian puppeteer that is Billy Bush, but what does the Late Show‘s version of Melania have to say? Thankfully, we now have our answer. Bless you, TV!

Laura Benanti and her uncanny Melania Trump impression returned to CBS to chat with Stephen Colbert about the incredibly disturbing leaked comments Donald Trump unfurled, as well as the growing number of women coming forward with serious allegations of sexual assault. Ever the seasoned pros, Colbert and Benanti masterfully walk the tightrope of skewering the Trumps while keeping the Republican presidential candidate’s comments in the crosshairs.

“He explained that it was locker room talk,” offered Benanti’s Melania. “I did not know this, but when American men gather to sport, they always brag about grabbing women by the Billy Bush.”

The late night take on Melania understands that Donald has acted like a pig, but what else can she do?

“Boys, men, it’s the same,” she explains to Colbert. “No matter how nice they seem, secretly they are all foul-mouthed Billy Bush-grabbing pigs. I’m talking about your husband, your brother, the pope, Luke Skywalker – all of them … If only a woman could be president.”

We have the segment nestled above for your viewing pleasure. According to Laura Benanti, the response hasn’t been half-bad.
