Don’t Worry, Everyone, ABC Is Developing A Sitcom Based On Justin Bieber’s Life

We were once again reminded yesterday that pop culture doesn’t matter compared to real life, an important preface to keep in mind when it comes to TV news that makes you want to throw your computer out the window.

ABC is once again developing a sitcom that would be based on pop superstar Justin Bieber’s life. The single-camera comedy was first set up at the network last year, but it’s been revived and is still under consideration for next season.

Bieber would executive produce the show with his manager, Scooter Braun. Also on board are executive producers Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi, who are writing the script. The untitled family show would center on Bieber’s background before he got famous. The comedy is about a future pop star’s awkward teenage years and his unorthodox family. (Via)

Take a guess which show Wolpert and Nedivi are credited with writing? Yup: Entourage, so expect The Untitled Swaggy Bro Project to be the Muppet Babies to Turtle & Co.’s The Muppet Show, with cocaine replaced by Fun Dip and boobs by not boobs. Because these are the people who deserve a show to call their own:
