Fox News Claims That ‘Homeland’ Might Hold The Secret For President Obama To Defeat ISIS

When it comes to secret hints on how to “destroy” ISIS, it seems that our fearless leaders are prepared to look in every corner and hanger for that magic weapon that will vanquish our enemies. Gretchen Carlson on Fox News may have found the one place they’re not looking, though, and she shared it on a recent episode of her show during an interview with Bill Cowan. If you’re thinking it’s some sort of mega tank with two cannons, you’re way off. It’s actually Showtime’s hit show Homeland.

Carlson shows a clip of Homeland where one of the characters is describing what seems to be ISIS and the type of strategy that should be employed in combating them, saying we should “hit reset” and “pound Raqqa into a parking lot.”

No matter what you might think about current events or the conflict in Syria, I would hope that we can all agree that taking policy advice from a television show that once revolved around an American soldier turned terrorist sleeper agent with the worst daughter on television is a bad idea. It is almost as bad as using 24 — the precursor to Homeland — as a proper example of how torture works.

I could be wrong, though. I mean, my entire life has been based on plots from The Beverly Hillbillies and The A-Team. I’ve made it to this point and I plan on getting at least a few more years out of my body. I just feel like turning one city into a parking lot is going to just make everybody flock to another city. Kinda like when your hometown opens a new restaurant.
