The Internet Is Obsessed With This Librarian ‘Jeopardy!’ Contestant Who Loves To Knit And Pet Cats

Meet librarian Margaret (Margaret!) Miles, a contestant on Thursday night’s episode of Jeopardy! who works at the New Hanover County Public Library in Wilmington, North Carolina. Margaret cleaned house on Thursday’s episode, taking home over $40,000, but that’s only one reason why the internet has suddenly fallen in love with her.

See, around mid-game, when Margaret was already commanding a strong lead with $7,600, Alex Trebek asked this special lady to tell us a little bit about herself, as he is wont to do, and Margaret came back with the above stunning answer. As to what she does for fun, Margaret revealed, “Knit… and pet cats.” But at least she’s self-aware, as she added that she’s “hopelessly stereotypical.”
