Above is the one minute and 42-second clip of Joe Scarborough, Monica Brzezinski and that other guy eating White Castle during the show. I couldn’t torture you with the entire five-minute clip (found on Mediatite) because I’m not that cruel.
I mean, I get that it’s a long show, and that the Monday after the New Year typically isn’t packed with rich and fascinating news stories, but there’s GOTTA be something better than watching three professional journalists eating and discussing White Castle, specifically their new veggie slider. Apparently, Joe Scarborough complained on Twitter that a veggie slider is an affront to humanity, so White Castle sent them over some samples. Guess what? Joe likes them now.
I hope to God MSNBC got paid something for some of the most painful product placement in a so-called morning news show that I’ve ever witnessed.
