A little over two months ago, Adult Swim entertained a late-night San Diego Comic-Con audience with a hilarious, NSFW (for swearing) re-enactment of an insane and very real court transcript. They tasked Rick and Morty voice Justin Roiland with reading the transcript between Judge Bryant Durham, Jr. of the Superior Court of Floyd County, Georgia, and defendant Denver Fenton Allen, who was already incarcerated and stood accused of murdering a fellow inmate. The swearword-filled, bonkers conversation took place on May 17, 2016, and the full transcript quickly went viral upon its public release on June 20, 2016.
Youtuber tiarawhy has spent the past two months turning that audio into a schwifty fan animation so good it looks like a real episode of Rick and Morty. She even animated an after-credits scene. We may have to continue waiting too damn long for Rick and Morty Season 3 to start, but at least this fan made animation will sate our appetite for a little while.
It may be hard to believe, but she made this herself, just for the love of the show, using Toonboom Harmony 14 Premium. Somebody get this lady a job at Adult Swim, STAT. Or at least some f*cking enchiladas.
