‘Rick And Morty’ To Get Schwifty Earlier Than Expected With New Episodes In 2016

As a brilliant lunatic once promised: “It’s just Rick and Morty. Rick and Morty and their adventures, Morty. Rick and Morty, forever and forever, a hundred years Rick and Morty…”

That’s our roundabout way of telling you that Rick and Morty are going to be back for more demented escapades in (later) 2016. It’s not that colossal of a surprise that Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon’s animated offering is returning to Adult Swim (the renewal news was ages ago) but it seemed like 2017 would have been the landing spot.

It turns out that Harmon spilled the beans on the arrival of season three way back in January at Magic City Comic Con. That’s lovely news for anyone worried sick over how season two ended and there’s even more info to have a dork jubilee over. Season three will be clocking in at 14 episodes instead of 10. We’ve spoken with our mathematics department and they tell us that’s four (4!) more episodes than 10. Here’s some visual evidence to prove we aren’t fooling or planting false memories or anything.

Fans of Rick and Morty tend to be a dedicated (if borderline) fanatical bunch so there’s always a chance Harmon and Roiland will indeed be nudged to keep the show rolling forever and ever. Provided everyone’s happy with that arrangement, let’s get schwifty in here!
