The First Images From Joss Whedon’s S.H.I.E.L.D. TV Series Reveal Absolutely Nothing

But you’ll click anyway (I know I did) because it’s S.H.I.E.L.D., and damnit, I’ll take any scrap I can get from the forthcoming ABC series because I’m a hopeless Whedon fanboy, and because I’m excited as hell about the show. These images were tweeted out by Whedon regular and the co-writer of S.H.I.E.L.D. Maurissa Tancharoen (who is co-writing and co-showrunning with Joss’s brother, Jed). Filming is reportedly getting underway today, and that image above is of Joss. Is it revealing? No. Not unless Whedon is actually in the show and the pilot will feature him flying into the sun. Alas, the other images aren’t that much more revealing, either, except we do get a glimpse of a S.H.I.E.L.D. pick-up truck.

Here are images of Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen’s director’s chairs, which only demonstrate that EVERYTHING about this series will be heavily punctuated.

Finally, umm, here’s a heat lamp from the set. In case it gets cold in Los Angeles?

Don’t say I didn’t warn you about the unrevealing nature of the photos. But at least we know Tancharoen’s Twitter, so we know who to follow to get other scintillating S.H.I.E.L.D. updates, like this:
