We’re getting closer to the reunion of HBO and one of its biggest stars, Sarah Jessica Parker. The actress returns to the cable giant this fall in a new series titled Divorce, and upon a discussion at Saturday’s TCA press tour, there’s now a new teaser.
Parker and Thomas Haden Church are a couple seemingly ready to — you guessed it — get a divorce. You can tell within the first five seconds of the new clip that there’s a deep animosity between the two of them when Church presses play on the Yes classic “Owner Of A Lonely Heart” (very apropos) and a startled Parker nearly yanks her toothbrush out of her mouth.
Both Parker and Church get quick chances to look confused/lost/preoccupied or otherwise just plain bummed out in the 25-second long clip, which follows a slightly longer trailer released in June. In that one, Parker actually tells Church she wants a divorce; in the new one, there is no dialogue but we do get to see the couple give each other the bird as they pass each other by in a hallway. Ouch.
Divorce, which was created by Catastrophe’s Sharon Horgan and co-stars Molly Shannon, will hit the HBO airwaves on October 9 at 10 p.m..
