What’s On Tonight: Maya Rudolph And Martin Short Premiere Their Variety Show ‘Maya & Marty’

Maya & Marty (NBC, 10:00 p.m.) — SNL alums Maya Rudolph and Martin Short premiere their new variety show tonight and boy is the guest-list packed full of stars. Jimmy Fallon, Miley Cyrus, Larry David and Tom Hanks are all set to sing, dance and make fun of themselves on national TV.

America’s Got Talent (NBC, 8:00 p.m.) — Judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Mel B. critique a handful of decent auditions and a ton of terrible ones in the season 11 premiere.

Hotel Hell (Fox, 8:00 p.m.) — A Massachusetts inn modeled after an Austrian bed and breakfast gets a visit from Gordon thanks to some outdated business practices and a few nasty rumors.

Containment (CW, 9:00 p.m.) — The military takes control of the cordon causing Lex to clash with a newly-instated National Guard captain. Elsewhere, Xander and Leanne disagree on what’s best for Teresa and her baby, and Jana turns to Lex for help with some violent junkies.

Coupled (Fox, 9:00 p.m.) — A new bachelor arrives as one couple deals with trouble caused by a suggestive text message.

Roots (A&E, History, Lifetime, 9:00 p.m.) — Part two of this four-night series features Kunta escaping his slave masters on the advice of some ill-meaning British soldiers before being taken in by a doctor. Later, he begins courting said doctor’s daughter.

Person of Interest (CBS, 10:00 p.m.) — In the series’ 100th episode, Finch makes a terrible mistake, blows his cover and must deal with the repercussions — Samaritan agents hot on his trail.

Woman (Viceland, 10:00 p.m.) — The docu-show looks into why scores of First Nations women in Canada are disappearing and being murdered at an alarming rate.
