What’s On Tonight: The Red Nose Day Special Is Here And ‘Bloodline’ Is Back

Red Nose Day (NBC, 10:00 p.m.) – The Red Nose Day special hosted by Chris Hardwick is basically a comedy show mixed with a celebrity fundraiser. The guy who gave us Love Actually has a follow up short film featuring the original cast, Batman shows up, and we get to learn about all of the cool work Comic Relief is doing to end child poverty.

Celebrity Ninja Warrior for Red Nose Day (NBC, 8:00 p.m.) – As part of NBC’s Red Nose Day lineup, American Ninja Warrior is testing the skills of some famous faces including Erika Christensen, Jeff Dye, Ashton Eaton, Nikki Glaser, Derek Hough, Natalie Morales, Nick Swisher, Mena Suvari and Stephen Amell. It’s finally time to see if Arrow can really do a salmon ladder.

Running Wild With Bear Grylls for Red Nose Day (NBC, 9:00 p.m.) – Bear Grylls takes Julia Roberts to Africa to follow the trail of vaccines meant for children at a local hospital in Kenya. Of course, before they get there they’ll have to jump from a plane and swim with a bunch of crocodiles and hippos.

Bloodline (Netflix) – Season three of Bloodline has a couple of big questions to answer. One: Will John make a run for it or return home to take up the family business – which is apparently covering up murders? Two: How is it that Kyle Chandler never ages?

Beat Shazam (Fox, 8:00 p.m.) – Wait, why did no one tell me Jamie Foxx was working on an interactive game show for Fox? What the hell is this? Apparently the guy’s leading contestants through a competitive series of “Guess That Song” for cash prizes. Didn’t Spike just do this game?

Love Connection (Fox, 9:00 p.m.) – Andy Cohen hosts this new dating game show (yay, another one) where singles go on three blind dates then discuss their experiences in front of a studio audience.

Lip Sync Battle (Spike, 10:00 p.m.) – Those cute little munchkins from Stranger Things battle each other.

The Amazing Race 29 (CBS, 10:00 p.m.) — The final four teams race through Seoul, South Korea, to clinch a spot in the finale and a chance to win the one million dollar prize.

Long Strange Trip (Amazon) – If you’re a Grateful Dead fan, or just of fan of great music in general, this new documentary from Amir Bar-Lev is something you’ll want to check out. The film delves deep into the life of the band, their obsession with their live shows and sound, and how roadie culture led to hard core drug use.
