The closer we get to Captain America: Civil War, the more we learn about how so many members of the Avengers cast will be involved. In fact, it’s getting to the point where it’s news to report who won’t be in the second Captain America sequel. But one central plot point will be the simmering conflict between Cap and Tony Stark, who become adversaries after playing on the same team for all these years. Marvel is pushing this story hard as evidenced by one of their latest tweets teasing Captain America: Civil War.
What Ultron tore asunder will never be truly healed. #Avengers #AgeOfUltron pic.twitter.com/fXiyX3Cu5d

Now, one very simple explanation for this is the fact that Avengers: Age of Ultron is being released on Blu-Ray on October 2, which is next Friday. So clearly, Marvel is going to do some cross-promoting with their increasingly connected properties. Age of Ultron, after all, is where we saw the beginnings of the conflict between Cap/Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) which gave us this fabulously testosterone-seeping GIF:
And yes, the Captain America Twitter account is all over that scene as well:
The rift between brothers begins… #Avengers #AgeOfUltronhttps://t.co/Lbfq49jzEq
— Captain America (@CaptainAmerica) September 22, 2015
And yes, that scene appears in this post twice because that is how furious Steve Rogers is. Furious enough to tear logs. Twice.
Again, using the #AgeOfUltron hashtag, because of the Blu-Ray release, but also to remind everyone that Steve and Tony are having a very hard time being bros and it’s not going to be resolved over a cold beer.
Captain America: Civil War is scheduled to be released May 6, 2016. Hopefully, we’ll see some official pictures from it soon, because as Comic Book Movie points out, we haven’t seen any yet, just set photos.
