The Foo Fighters announced their eighth studio album earlier today. Sonic Highways, which you can pre-order here, is due out November 10th, or the same day as Grohlmas, a holiday I just created in which you beer random strangers. It’ll be eight tracks along, and try to guess if Dave Grohl uses the words “new” and “experimental” in the quote he provided for the press release.
“This album is instantly recognizable as a Foo Fighters record, but there’s something deeper and more musical to it. I think that these cities and these people influenced us to stretch out and explore new territory, without losing our ‘sound’.”
Eh, half right. Here’s a brief snippet of what to expect.
