Here’s a fun fact that no one at the bar will actually find fun: What does Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video, which has been watched nearly 30 million times in only a few short days, have in common with the videos for Shaq’s “You Can’t Stop the Reign” and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s “If I Could Teach the World?” They were all directed by the same guy, Joseph Kahn, who also did that gritty Power Rangers bootleg from earlier this year.
He’s clearly attracted to working with strong women (and also Shaq), which is what George Takei, after watching the “Bad Blood” video, called Marvel out on. Oh my.
Taylor Swift released her much anticipated video Bad Blood starring girl celebs as action stars. Come on Marvel, T. Swift is showing you up.

While it’s ridiculous that Marvel still hasn’t released a lady-led superhero film, at least we’ve got Mad Max: Fury Road to fulfill our females are strong as hell needs. I’m pretty sure Imperator Furiosa could take down everyone in the “Bad Blood” video, beginning with you, Ellen Pompeo.
